SIAMS

All Church of England use the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 to inspect all Church of England schools.  T

Purpose and focus of SIAMS inspections

SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults.

in 2018, a new and more rigorous inspection schedule for SIAMS was introduced. Under this new schedule, the bar for schools was raised significantly, with the old ‘outstanding’ grade being merged into the new ‘good’. Good is now the 'gold standard' for church schools.

The evaluation schedule has one overarching inspection question: How effective is the school’s distinctive Christian vision, established and promoted by leadership at all levels (including governors), in enabling pupils and adults to flourish?

Both our schools are incredibly proud of their links with our local churches and our Christian distinctiveness. Please see below our latest SIAMS inspection reports.
